Feto-Maternal Imaging Radiology Assessment & Diagnostic Score: A Presentation by Dr. Rijo Mathew

It is time to redefine anomaly scans.

Anomaly scans have to be targeted imaging for fetal abnormalities and should not restrict themselves to the detection of structural anomaly & syndrome markers. The emphasis on abnormalities in growth & fetal environment factors which contribute towards significant perinatal mortality in our country has to be incorporated.

Hence, a new approach with multimodality imaging parameters, focusing on the ability to detect at risk pregnancies for prematurity, preterm and anomalies with the help of a new scoring system of FIRADS-Fetomaternal Imaging Radiology Assessment and Diagnostic Score is discussed.
